Dear Diane,
If you have a copy of “Is This Thing On?” you can see instructions for coying and pasting on p. 205, then again, specific to e-mail, on p. 237, and one more time, for copying and pasting from a website to an e-mail, on p. 240.
Here's what you want to do:
1) Highlight the text (which is always easier if you start at the end and click and drag your mouse to the begining).
2) Click on Edit (on the Menu Bar of your e-mail window), then click on Copy in the drop down menu.
3) Open a new e-mail (click on New, Compose, Write, – whatever opens new e-mail for you) and click in the large text bxo where you usually write your email.
4) Click on Edit (again at the top in the Menu Bar), then click Paste.
Voila! The text you highlighted and copied will now appear in the e-mail. Make any changes you want, type in a subject and add the e-mail addresses you want to send it to. **Remember to use the BCC: (Blind Carbon Copy) area instead of the TO: area, if you don't want to expose your recipients' e-mail addresses to each other (see p. 191, 236, 239)
Let me know if that works for you,
Abby
