“Is This Thing On?” is THE BEST computer guide I've ever purchased! I had the pleasure of attending your discussion at Lititz (PA) Public Library. I'm wallpapering, bookmarking, listening to CD's and just purchased a Nano iPod! (iTunes here I come!!!!) I can't wait to listen to my favorite tunes, audio books, etc! I knew the computer basics but your book has opened a new world for me by actually showing me HOW to do it… not just giving me a bunch of geek speak. Bless you Abby!

Dear Kathy,
How nice of you! So glad you're enjoying the book. I had a lovely day in Lititz.
Pass the word to anyone you know who may feel like they can't use a computer…Of course they can, they just need to have someone show them how.
Keep in touch,
Abby

dear abby its 5 oclock in the morning but here i am again, reading your book and still finding all kinds of things.you are so great I tell every one how great your book is. as you can see my e mails are a mess but most of the time.they get where i want them to.this morning i am trying to get on a web site but i'm doing something wrong because i can't get my cursor to turn into a hand, but i know the answer is in this wonderful book and i will find it. I am 84 years old and I don't get out to shop but I'm sure you have other books that I can buy. thanks again abby for making my life so much better and so much fun.I take care of my 86 year old husband who has alzheimers and when I need a break which is often this helps so much. thanks again and thank you for letting me vet. muriel003@centurytel.net

It is so nice to hear from you and I love your “can do” attitude with the computer. You are doing great!
The cursor isn't always a hand when it lands on something you can click on in a website. Sometimes it stays an arrow and sometimes it look like a capital I (with a horizontal line on top and bottom). Even if it isn't a hand, give it a single click and see if anything happens. You might be pleasantly surprised.
You can vent with me anytime you want. I'm not always the speediest to reply, but I'll get there eventually.
