Dear Jose,

First, did you try to set the printer up tethered to your computer first to be sure everything is working properly without using the wireless feature? It's a good test to be sure that nothing is faulty with the printer itself.

Second, did you disable your Firewall before installing the printer's software? Often the Firewall can interfere with the installation. (If you need to know how to do this, let me know.)

Third, depending on the manufacturer of the printer, I would consider calling for tech support. HP's technicians are particularly good.

A few other questions to better understand your situation…Is your wireless working properly with your computer? How far away is the printer from the modem (the box that brings the Internet connection into your home)? I'm getting at whether there is a wall or a long distance between the two that might cause a problem.

I hope this helps a bit. More information might get more from me, but your best bet may be to call in the cavalry (aka tech support).
